Other News:
This term All Saints are having two parade services celebrating the festivals or Harvest and Christmas.  Parade services are special services for the Guides and Scouts that meet at All Saints, it is a family friendly service, taking no more than an hour.  We begin the service with a chosen child from each unit carrying their unit flag into the church (the flag is "paraded" in, hence the name of the service).  The service is then themed with the different units contributing to the theme.  The Harvest Parade will end with the planting of a tree for the Diamond Jubilee Queen's Green Canopy Project.
The Autumn term we will usually be meeting in the hall at All Saints, still with some enhanced cleaning and hand sanitiser, but without any extra rules to follow.  We are hoping to get out of the hall at least once, either to visit the Library (which would complete part one of the Book Lover Interest badge), or to go for a walk.
Jackie (Harlequin) is the only qualified Leader in the unit, with Andrew as Unit helper.  It would be great to find another person(s) who would like to join our Guiding family once a week in term time.  All volenteers are welcome, as long as they don't mind having a DBS check, either as a Unit Helper, or to train to become a Unit Leader like Jackie.  Nationally, Girlguiding have updated the age range for Rainbows, so Rainbows are now welcome to start with us the term after they turn four, if they are ready.
